CIRCLE OF DESPAIR

(Ambrose/Backer)

If God really exists… This must’ve been his point of view about people
who think it’s necessary to pray, only as they got into trouble, and
don’t see the line anymore, the line that fades into a circle.
Their circle.., of despair.

Here I am in the middle of a dream,
where knights in leather and armour of gold,
lost in echoes of a scream.
Where kings made of fools and queens made of whores
and they’ll bow for a clown like me.

But nobody knows, the reason that I am around.’

Oh leave me alone, get off my back, please get out of my way.
I am alone and I don’t want you to pray.

Here I am in the middle of a crime.
A man is waiting in the autumn of his deed.
His dagger, searching for murder.
And soldiers stand helpless with tears in their eyes.
And they pray to a clown like me.

But nobody knows, the reason I am around.

Oh leave me alone, get off my back, please get out of my way.
I am alone and that’s what I want to be, so pray no more.

Leave me alone, leave me alone.

But nobody knows, the reason that I am in a circle of despair.
Circle of despair.

Why am I in the middle of a battle.
Where evil lost its face, heaven’s in disgrace.
coz the horror is the dream where I’m into.
Now enter the circle of despair.

But, leave me alone, get off my back, please get out of my way.
I am alone, don’t want you to pray anymore.
