LITTLE PETER PAGANINI

(Traditional)

“The wonderfull tour of…”

To London great Paganini came and fiddled his way to wealth and fame
Enough he cried, my task is done, my fiddle I give to my only son

Come hIther says Pag and the fiddle take, like me a fortune you soon will make.

As Pag on a musical tour was bend in a steamboat to Margate next he went
The folks soon queer, Pag, by way of a jog began tuning his fiddle and set them agog

He turned it again and so well he play to the end of the journey they danced away

Pag went to a miser : says he “oh Dear” your music’s expensive now don’t play here
But no sooner did Pag with his fiddle advance than in spite of himself he began to dance

His cash-box danced also he could not lock it and the gold danced out into Pag’s pocket

When Paganini had wealth and fame like his dad he returned to whence he came
But before he went by way of a lark he played to the beasts in the Regent’s park

Lions, monkey’s and bears all began to prance and even the elephants joined in the dance
