GOD’S HEART ATTACK

(Ambrose/Backer)

Actually this is a playlet, a dramatic playlet. About chaos in heaven and pleasure in hell. The devil’s lullaby.

The storyteller:
Hear the angels sing the ballad of the end, so divine.
Panic’s in the air, don’t you understand, the end of line.
So the message reached the devil.

The devil:
God had what? Time to feast.
Burn the candles to get in the mood.
Make it a hundred at least.

The angels:
Save our father, save the lord. Someone help us, time runs short.

The priest:
God, had a heart attack. His heart lost the rhythm of life.
God’s heart attack.

The storyteller:
Hear the angels sigh, spreading their wings, Lost in pain.
Magic feathers floating all around, all in vain.

The devil:
The time has come to see, my friends. What’s in his will for me.
Just a little revolution in heaven Lord, is payed with blasphemy.

The angels:
Save our father, save the lord.
Someone help us, time runs short.

The priest:
God, had a heart attack. His heart lost the rhythm of life.
God’s heart attack.

The storyteller:
Hear the angels running the stairs, round and round.
Back in hell nobody cares what’s going down.

The devil:
Now life has passed away dear God. Your realm belongs to me.
I know that I should care a lot, but this is destiny.

The priest:
God, had a heart attack. His heart lost the rhythm of life.
God’s heart attack.

The medic:
We’re gonna lose him, we’re losing him.
Oh no, Cardiac arrest.
